Studio FB USA photographs and films weddings across the Charleston area from a base in Summerville, South Carolina. The best preparation for a wedding day is an hour in front of the same camera beforehand. An engagement session does three things at once: it produces images for save the dates and the website, it shows us how you two behave when a lens is pointed at you, and it means the wedding day is not the first time you have heard our directions.

Planning covers the rest. We build the photography and film timeline with you, because light decides more than preference does. Around here the hour that ends at sunset is worth more to your portraits than any other on the schedule, and a ceremony set at the wrong time pushes them into flat midday sun or into no light at all.

Two things we ask for in advance: a family photo list with a name attached to every group, and one person from each side who can recognize those faces and round them up. Group photos also move faster when they can be directed in three languages instead of relayed through a translator.
